Kathleen A. Spero, Esq.

Kathleen Spero works as a contract attorney for Sy and Smith. She has a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Business Immigration, Immigration, and I-9 review services for small, mid-size, and large corporation clients as well as human resources departments.
Kathleen received her MA from San Diego State University, with dual majors in political science and international security and conflict resolution. After several years in project and immigration program management, she enrolled at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating in 2008 in the top 5% of her class. During law school, she served on the Law Review, was an editor for the school newspaper, and worked for Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, focusing on business immigration work.
After earning her law degree, Kathleen worked for several small private and non-profit companies, providing critical immigration advice for family, employment, asylum, and U visas and Violence Against Women projects.
Kathleen is a member of the California State Bar, the former co-chair of the San Diego County Bar’s Immigration Section, and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
In her free time, Kathleen enjoys cooking and baking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She is an enthusiastic fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Kentucky basketball.
